Municipal Collection
In 2016 a group of Heidelberg artists got together and created a range of oil painting of all the interesting old buildings, The Municipality funded the canvas for the artists and the artist sponsored their artwork for the project.
The collection is open to the public at the Municipal offices entrance.
The artists and houses involved forms part of the walking art route.

Artist Ryno Eksteen grew up in Heidelberg on the Diepkloof farm. As part of the Hessequa Art Collection he did a painting of the old farmstead in 20218.
At the yearly Starnation Art Studio Heidelberg Group exhibition in 2018 he gifted this painting to the municipality. What made this extra special was that the current inhabitants were also part of the evenings activities.
